We are looking for an experienced embedded software engineer for our Ukrainian team in Kharkiv or Odessa. You will be working remotely with teams in Denmark to develop embedded software solutions on industrial applications such as wind turbines for our clients. Our clients are the leaders within the world of wind energy, and we strive to deliver innovative and competitive solutions to fit their needs and expectations.

Key tasks:

The focus in your role is solutions related to control and conversion of electric power. This can be a focus on a specific part (converter, inverter), unit (the wind turbine itself) or the complete solution (controlling substations/wind power plants).

Your tasks include:

• Code development - maturing existing technologies and developing new products.
• Agile software development using SCRUM methodology.
• Teamwork with the design team, responsible for software and hardware solution.
• Modelling and control algorithm development in MATLAB/Simulink.
• Use and administration of GitHub.
• Project planning by means of Jira.
• Testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.

Your background – need to have:

• Bachelor or Masters degree within engineering, could be specialized within software or other relevant area
• 3+ years of recent experience with coding in C++ (ver. 14 or higher) with expert level
• TDD (test driven development) approach understanding
• Business level written and spoken English with engineering lingo

Advantage for the job

• Object oriented & state-based software design lying on GRASP, SOLID principles.
• Experience in working with MATLAB/Simulink
• Coding in Python
