DESCRIPTION

Our client is a global leader in financial indexing, benchmarking, and analytic services. Their high-performance technology solutions enable companies worldwide to access funds for growth and development. Our client provides a comprehensive, integrated suite of trusted financial market infrastructure services.

Under general direction, the selected candidate will serve as the Business Objects database developer responsible for developing, supporting Data and Analytic financial applications. We are looking for a person who wants to contribute to a robust team of engineers and continuously deepen professional skills. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain database tables, stored procedures, and supporting objects 
• Build, develop and support Business Objects reports for clients 
• Work with data architecture team to provide operational support, resolve recurring problems 
• Document database topology, architecture, processes, and procedures 
• Develop SQL queries and support ad hoc requests for data 
• Identify inefficiencies in the database platform and provide solutions to the management 

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of experience working with Business Intelligence reporting using Business Objects 
• Build, develop and support Business Objects reports for clients 
• Hands-on experience working with RDBMS (preferably My SQL or MSSQL Server or Oracle)
• Proven knowledge of relational database design and development, understanding of NoSQL databases/concepts and experience with Cloud Development
• Expertise with cloud technology (AWS or GCP)
• Proven working experience with DWH and/or DataLake, data modeling experience
• Knowledge of Agile/Waterfall methodology
• Experience in troubleshooting, debugging and optimizing data and analytic applications  
• Ability to work as part of a team and also individually with a self-starter ('can do') attitude 
• Experience in finance industry or expertise in financial products would be a plus 
• Nice to have scripting knowledge (Windows shell/Unix bash)

• Intermediate or higher English level, both spoken and written (B1+)
