Digital Solutions R&D Architect

Philip Morris Ukraine on behalf of its Partner invites for cooperation a person - technie expert to join Digital team. You will develop and maintain the high-level target state design for the company technology architecture. Provide technical leadership and consulting across the organization, on strategic decisions for Digital/IT initiatives. Technical business engagement including: architectural design, specific implementation projects and/or Proofs of Concepts for MVP initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer-facing roles and success leading deep technical architecture and application design discussions with development team.

Responsibilities:

• Choosing appropriate tools for our development team usage
• Ensuring architecture strategy aligns with business objectives
• Together with IT Department develop the infrastructure solution
• Support inter-team collaboration and integration problems
• Collaborate with Digital, Business and IT partners across the organization from a strategic and tactical perspective to set direction to produce & support quality software solutions
• Research and investigate technical issues impacting the organization and recommend solutions

Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal communication and collaborative problem-solving skills
• Experience with business requirements gathering and their translation to technical requirements, strategic architecture and design
• Experience in agile practices (Scrum, Kanban)
• Experience with SCM (git)
• Experience developing and leading large-scale technology platforms
• Understanding of best practices across technologies (client/server-side, QA, deployment, project management etc.)
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Understanding of all architectural components and their interrelationships

Technical experience:

• Architecture: fault tolerance, scalability, separation of concerns
• Background as software, infrastructure or as a system engineer
• Knowledge of AWS, experience in deploying high availability solutions in AWS
• Good understanding of web services (REST, Web API) and best practices to build RIA
• Strong understanding of system/software architecture patterns (Microservices, SOA, Event-Driven)
• Knowledge of Software development and delivery processes and frameworks
• Knowledge of Containers 
• Experience with client-side technologies e.g., Node, Angular
• Experience with relational and noSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc.)
