Project Assistant

Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Ukraine is seeking qualified professionals for the project "Vocational Qualification of Internally Displaced Persons" to fill the position of

Project Assistant

in the Kyiv office. The project "Vocational Integration of Internally Displaced Persons" aims at improving employability of IDPs in six Oblasts in Eastern Ukraine. It includes retraining and advanced qualification measures as well as establishment of cooperation between public sector, private sector and civil society in this area.

Area of responsibilities

• Assistance in coordination of the re-training/advanced qualification measures implementation (updating training tracker, preparation of the certificate of the completion, tracking visibility materials distribution, preparation of other relevant documents etc.)
• Assistance in monitoring of the re-training/advanced qualification measures implementation in close cooperation with the M&E Manager
• Support in the organization and preparation of folders with the project related information/ PR material
• Translation of supporting documents if needed from Ukrainian/Russian into English and vice versa
• Support of planning and implementation of training activities in Eastern Ukraine

Requirements to candidates

• Vocational administrative or Bachelor's degree in Economics, Social Sciences or equivalent qualification
• Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office application (e.g. word, excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet)
• Service and detail-oriented attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under stressful conditions, learn and adapt to changing situation quickly.
• Good self-organisation skills
• Very good command of the English language is obligatory, native level of Ukrainian and Russian; knowledge of German is an asset
• Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed
• Experience in working in an international team is an advantage

Employment conditions

Full-time position with 40-hours working week until July 2021
