Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Ukraine is seeking a qualified professional for the project "Vocational Integration of Internally Displaced Persons" to fill the positions of the

 

Project Coordinator Kharkiv

 

The project "Vocational Integration of Internally Displaced Persons" aims at improving employability of IDPs and other people affected by the conflict in six Oblasts in Eastern Ukraine. It includes vocational re-training measures, as well as establishment of cooperation projects involving public sector, private sector and civil society to improve framework conditions.

 

Area of responsibilities

· Structured identification and assessment of potential training providers and cooperation partners

· Preparation of training concepts and supporting documents

· Coordinating project activities in the field of vocational re-training measures for the project target audience

· Supporting the development of multi-stakeholder cooperation projects including proposals and budgets

· Coaching and monitoring partners during project implementation including verification of performance and finance progress reports

· Preparing and implementing project activities such as expert mission, workshops, networking events, subsidies etc.

· Following-up on projects results and knowledge management with the project office in Kyiv.

 

Requirements to candidates

· Master's Degree in Economics, Social Sciences or equivalent qualification preferably with a focus on labour market and employment promotion

· At least 5 years of professional experience in employment promotion and/or vocational training.

· Ability to work in a political environment.

· Experience in establishing and maintaining business relations, strong communication skills.

· Good knowledge of English language. Russian and Ukrainian are required. Knowledge of German would be an advantage.

· Good working knowledge of ITC technologies and computer applications (e.g. MS Office)

· Experienced to work in an international team

· Good self-organisation skills

· Customer and service-oriented attitude

· Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed

· Ability to work under pressure

 

Employment conditions

Full-time position with 40-hours working week until July of 2021. Frequent travel within the project Oblasts is required.
