Tax Manager

An international American bank is looking for Tax Manager

Job Purpose:

• to prepare in timely manner direct and indirect tax returns within Ukraine Tax team.
• Support to the business with respect to the tax matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct taxation: corporate income tax return preparation; supporting E&Y team during the Income tax return review; CIT liabilities payments to State budget; calculation and booking monthly current and deferred tax accruals. Land and real estate taxes return preparation and tax payments.
• Indirect taxation: VAT-invoices preparation and registration in SEA VAT, VAT return preparation and VAT liabilities payments to State budget; review of source data and supporting documents for VAT transactions to ensure the compliance with tax legislation requirements. Advise operational departments on withholding tax and proper application of double tax treaties.
• Transfer pricing: annual transfer pricing report preparation; support in preparation of TP documentation.
• Internal advisory on tax matters, tax rulings request on taxation or business matters.
• Participation in the industry associations regarding tax legislation related initiatives.
• Tax regulatory changes tracking and implementation plans development.
• Regular review of the processes to improve, simplify and automate.
• Support in data collection and analysis on ad-hoc business and regulatory requests.
• To ensure strict compliance with all local and corporate tax policies and procedures, local tax reporting requirements.
• To provide support to CFO and Chief Accountant during internal and external audits.
• Participation in regular Finance controls and monitoring processes and reviews.

Qualifications:

• Higher education majoring in Finance/ Economics / Tax.
• At least 3 years of experience related to tax - corporate tax, VAT and transfer pricing.
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards will be an advantage
• Good knowledge of banking activities, banking products will be an advantage.
• Excellent analytical skills, strong judgment and decision-making abilities (problem solving)
• Strong soft skills (advanced user of Excel, Power Point, Word)
• Fluency in English - verbal and written – is a MUST
