Our company is looking for a smart technical communicator (if you are a technical writer, it is also an excellent fit) who will be working in cross-functional teams or be involved in SoftServe own projects.
YOU ARE
Our perfect candidate has a grip on understanding the business aspect of client’s products and delivering all kinds of user assistance. You are to communicate with system-oriented developers and business-oriented stakeholders effectively, drive full-dress investigation before getting down to presenting your findings to the audience, and organize various types of information into self-contained pieces.
Meeting the following required experience
- 1-2 years of working experience as a Technical Communicator, Technical Writer, or Information Developer
- A concept of plain English guidelines and international writing standards (Microsoft, Apple, etc.)
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Fluent level of English (Upper-Intermediate)
- Online learning models
- Estimation, aligning, and managing own tasks
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Authoring tools like Adobe Technical Communication Suite, MadCap Flare, Confluence, or Zendesk
- Working in screen-capturing and video development tools
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and XML
- Background of Agile (Scrum) methodology
- Attention to details, striving to immerse in technical peculiarities
- Flexibility and responsibility
- Ability to work in a team and individually
YOU WANT TO WORK WITH
Your duties and responsibilities will enable you to
- Dive deep into the business aspect of products that you document
- Identify project and documentation requirements to produce corresponding user assistance
- Conform to the TechComm project requirements, follow style recommendations and guidelines
- Create templates for online or printed documentation
- Create and update both end-user and developer documentation
- Develop complex technical illustrations (diagrams, workflows, and similar)
- Arrange product documentation a way to ensure usability and convenient navigation
- Develop complex simulation or simple interactive videos
- Wrest information from SMEs and ensure that they provide technical review of your content
- Perform editorial review of the documentation created by another TC
- Cooperate with client to elicit requirements, validate and approve your work at main stages of documentation development life cycle
- Develop API guides, maintain available API portals
- Use source control and API execution tools
- Create and style presentations, develop templates for them
