Event manager

Responsibilities:

• Establish client goals and budget for the event
• Oversee the booking of all event details, including location, catering, decor, entertainment, transportation, and promotional materials
• Negotiate vendor contracts to stay within budget
• Schedule sufficient staff for the day of the event
• Manage each phase on site during the event
• Communicate regularly with the client to ensure customer satisfaction
• Create reports to report back to management
• Hire the correct staff to work the event
• Establish great and positive atmosphere in the office

Requirements

• 2+ years of corporate event planning experience
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in hospitality, event management, or related field a plus
• English - IS A MUST (from upper-intermediate), other languages will be a plus
• Substantial portfolio of successfully managed events
• Superb time management and communication skills
• Sales skills and an aptitude for building productive business relationships
• Able to oversee multiple projects independently
