Responsibilities:
• Manage the local accounting functions and leading the local team
• Prepare local statutory financial statements according to local GAAP and ensure that all statutory reporting requirements are adhered to. This includes the management and coordination of internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance with Corporate guidelines (e.g. Financial Reporting Guidelines), procedures and policies (e.g. IFRS) across the organization
• Responsible for year-end audits and other corporate financial mandatory requirements
• Responsible for the integrity of books and records, for an effective Risk Management and Internal Control System in line with the Global framework incl. remediation of deficiencies or internal audit findings
• Responsible for the P2P process – managing the AP process
• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as necessary
• Support monthly and quarterly closing process (IFRS)
• Support preparation of tax report and tax matters
• Provide training, guidance and direction to the finance community to ensure correct books and records including support of business in clarification of accounting matters
• Manage the commercial aspects, planning and controlling of the accounting department
• Drive continuous optimization of organisational setup with focus on synergies, cooperation and output quality for accounting, controlling and reporting
• Act as a trusted Partner to the regional CFO as well as the local and global stakeholders, focusing on cross-divisional and country-related Finance, Accounting and Controlling matters, providing a framework for all businesses located in and operating from the country
• Play a key role together with Divisions, Business Units and/or Functions for regional cost optimization and provide a lean platform of Corporate Functions and the overall infrastructure for all businesses in the entities assigned
• Enable a high-performance culture of business excellence and continuous improvement, with motivated employees and retention of key staff
• Proactively drive and further build strong digitalization footprint (e.g. for reporting, dashboards and operational processes)
• Effectively communicating insights, plans and dashboards to cross-functional team members and management
• Being a key member of the CEE accounting community, sharing and learning with/ from international colleagues and supporting the larger Europe/Africa Meta-Hub organisation
Education:
• Degree in accounting or comparable certification (CPA)
• BA/BS/Master’s Degree in Business or Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional accreditation
Requirements, Knowledge and Skills:
• At least 5 years of post-internship experience; global companies experience
• Well-grounded knowledge and comprehensive understanding of financial accounting and reporting according to local GAAP and IFRS
• Proven track record in people management, building and motivating strong sustainable and high performing teams
• Proven experience to lead projects and processes, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a matrix structured organization
• Fluent in English and local language (written and verbal)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – an ability to develop effective working relationship with internal and external interfaces
• Teamworking attitude and the ability to work in a multinational environment
• Proven experience in change management and transformation of organisational structure and processes
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members and leaders; ability to translate requirements into working solutions
• Passionate and capable to drive digitalization as enabler for transformation
• Proven knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office and BI Tools
