Infrastructure Engineer

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will manage global infrastructure services and become a responsible point of escalation for the infrastructure team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as a point of escalation for the infrastructure team for diagnosis and resolution of incidents in a 3rd line capacity

• Manage global infrastructure services such as; ADDS, ADSS, ADFS, Certificate Services, DNS, DHCP, SQL and Office 365.

• Work in partnership with the technical architect to fulfil overall architectural design

• Perform technical approval of operating systems and application patches through a formal test process using SCCM

• Provide subject matter expertise to project and delivery teams and provide project support.

• Act as the primary point of contact for documentation and execution of technical recovery procedures

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• 3-5 years working experience with VMware's vSphere and Citrix XenApp, has a comprehensive understanding of virtualisation technology platforms.

• Advanced understanding and extensive working experience of Microsoft cloud based collaboration suites including Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, Identity Management systems such as; AD Connect/ADFS/Azure AD and Enterprise Mobility and Security.

• Wide breadth of knowledge on IT Infrastructure and networking and capable of complex problem solving

• Proven experience with monitoring technologies; SolarWinds or Nagios

• Strong hands on experience with Operating System Deployment (OSD) and software deployment task sequences within SCCM

• Previous experience of working within an industrial or regulated environment, especially pharmaceutical is highly regarded

• Must have excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
