Windows Engineer

Project Description:

IT infrastructure service for one of the world biggest and leading financial group. Successful candidate will help our client with BAU and Project activities, working as MS Windows systems engineer in cooperate with Application Technology & Infrastructure teams to build and support complex IT infrastructure, implement best technology and service practices to achieve high availability and performance of related business applications. 

Our team primary location is Kiev, working remotely in client environment in close collaboration with customer management, IT OPS and Development teams. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform System Administration activities that include account management, monitoring and management of system resources (CPU, memory, disk, etc.), monitoring and audit of system logs, back-up and recovery, continuity of operations, security, and managing operating systems.
•  - Implement and monitor the Enterprise Windows Servers testing and installation of patches, updates, additional tools and future versions of all software on a regular basis.
•  - Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues on Windows 2008, 2012 and 2016 servers.
•  - Manage the configuration and operation of Windows operating systems.
•  - Manage Active Directory updates.
•  - Respond to and resolve help desk requests.
•  - Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution. 
• Install and test computer-related equipment.

Mandatory Skills:

• At least 3 years of IT experience as an IT Systems Administrator. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer-service skills.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 administration. 
• Strong hands-on administration experience on Windows 2012/2016 server
• Forest, Domain trust, AD, DFS, DNS, WINS, DHCP, Group Policy,
• Distribution lists, Windows folder security, and IP filter. 
• Windows 7-10 troubleshooting and admin skills. 
• Experience administering hybrid cloud infrastructure technologies in platforms such as Azure and Office 365. 
• Experience with endpoint computing including PCs, Citrix XenApp, and VDI.
•  - Strong experience with servers in a physical, virtual and cloud environment.
•  - Experience with PowerShell scripting and other orchestration technologies.
•  - Solid understanding of security best practices, networking concepts, threats, tools and remediation techniques.
•  - Knowledge of: VMWare/ESXi/AHV, Windows Server 2012/2016, MS Exchange, MS SQL. 

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with Azure and Citrix - would be a plus
