Position Overview

In order to further strengthen our Operations team and our Operations IT team, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for managing their own operations and IT activities on projects and will sooner, rather than later, be responsible for their own projects at the clients' sites.

With the constant development in automated gates, IT systems, EDIs, operating methods, cargo handling technology, the candidate will be required to spend time on acquiring new knowledge in the cargo port and terminal field.

Requirements:

The job requires a Bachelor's or Master degree in a technological or technical discipline

5+ years of experience in a bulk, general cargo, or container cargo terminal.

Experience and expertise required:

1. High English language level

2. Knowledge of Terminal Operating IT Systems (such as Autostore, Navis, TOPX, CommTrac, CATOS, etc.)

3. Working with standard EDI messages used in ports (these can be BAPLIE, MOVINS, etc.).

4. HW and SW infrastructure for cargo ports and terminals.

5. Setting up

6. Excel spreadsheets, word, power point, etc.

7. Optimising processes and developing process flow-charts / maps.
