Accounting advisory consultant

Deloitte is seeking a Consultant to join the Finance Transformation Group within the Consulting department at the Kyiv office.

As a Consultant in Accounting Advisory, you will be able to work with our professional team on development of accounting policies, development of business requirements for accounting and ERP reporting systems implementation, accounting and reporting process improvements or redesign. You will be responsible for preparation of project deliverables while making use of your own technical knowledge and soft skills, direct negotiation with the client during analysis and project deliverables preparation and approval.

As part of this team, you will work with high-profile private, multinationals and public companies in a variety of industry sectors. You will have the opportunity and support to take on responsibility early on, making a real contribution from day one.

The role will involve:

• Take part in projects:
• Design and development of corporate accounting standards, policies and methodologies in accordance with IFRS, Ukrainian accounting standards (UAS)
• Diagnostics, analysis, re-engineering of business processes in finance departments, including period closing process optimization (Fast Close)
• Methodological support in preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS (transformation and consolidation)
• Methodological support and development of business requirements for accounting and ERP systems implementation
• Involvement in preparation of client deliverables, reports and other project-related documentation as well as marketing materials
• Working on any assignment that helps the team and contributes to the department's goals

To be considered you should possess:

• Higher education (or incomplete higher education ) in accounting
• Basic knowledge of Ukrainian accounting standards (UAS)
• Basic knowledge of IFRS (as an advantage)
• Knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
• Upper-intermediate level of oral and written English
