Customer

Our customer is a rapidly growing US AdTech company Beeswax. Founded by three ex-Googlers, it has a highly technical team and an excellent technological culture.

Beeswax (https://www.beeswax.com/about/) provides extremely high-scale Bidder-as-a-Service solutions in advertising technology, works with global businesses, and has to date raised $28M (incl. the most recent Series B raise of $15M).

Sigma Software works together with Beeswax to enable the delivery of numerous key components of the platform. It is looking for engineers to complement Beeswax engineering team and drive further development of the platform.

Project:

The project is about building the next generation of real-time bidding software that enables sophisticated marketers to break free from the limitations and constraints of opaque, one-size-fits-all programmatic buying platforms.

As a part of the team, you will lead testing of the product in close collaboration with customer and product team.

Responsibilities:

• Active collaboration with PO on requirements: elicitation, clarification, analysis, documenting
• Test design and test documentation creation
• Test execution, bugs reporting and further processing
• Active communication and collaboration with Product Owner and development teams to achieve best results
• Report about status and progress to the team and customer

Requirements:

• Strong theoretical knowledge in Software testing: understands goal, knows approaches for all main testing types we utilize, has understanding of test levels concept and interfaces we can use in testing
• Good technical knowledge at least in the following areas: networking, architecture, Databases, and strong knowledge of web-technologies, web systems and dev principles and approaches used in web development
• Good SDLC related knowledge, able to contribute to project process improvement
• Ability to define and propose strategy for a particular component or feature
• Capability to design tests for functions and business flows of moderate complexity assuring required coverage of requirements
• Ability to track requirements changes and coverage, plan required test cases updates
• Practical knowledge of how to create main testing documentation: test plan, test strategy, test cases, check-lists, etc.
• Ability to analyze, model and define specifics of system under test usage and use it while executing tests
• Skills of defining required scope for regression and compatibility testing
• Ability to monitor overall project activities, adjust and plan own tasks to achieve project goals. Able to prioritize and plan team activities
• Capability to provide well-reasoned status and sign-off reports. Ability to use metrics to provide additional reasoning
• Good communication skills: able to explain complex matters so they are easily understood by the audience. Able to take part in meetings and communication with customers.
• Solid knowledge and experience in requirements elicitation and testing
• Perfect soft skills: proactivity, dedication, commitment, thoroughness, accuracy, customer orientation
• Upper-Intermediate level of English

Would be a plus:

• Skills of setting up software testing process for a project
• Ability to identify, assess, mitigate and escalate project risks. Knowledge of how to define risk response strategies and action plans
• Ability to contribute to practices review sessions: Lessons Learned, Retrospectives, etc.
• Practical knowledge of how to utilize estimation techniques: 3 point, PERT, T-Shirt. Ability to properly define risks and assumptions while estimating
• Good skills of writing consistently good, well-structured e-mails
