Test Automation Engineer (Industrial domain)

We invite a self-driven Test Automation Engineer to join the development in the company that is a leader in bearing, sealing, and related equipment production. Aiming to increase the reliability of the equipment and to become more sustainable (by decreasing the production of unnecessary parts), the company has implemented and is further developing a system of continuous monitoring of assets' health.

Our client is a well-known Swedish industrial engineering company that changes the world through the power of knowledge and engineering. Being one of the largest companies in Sweden and among the largest public companies in the world, it makes the world spin and rotates.

Required skills:

• At least 5 years of experience most of which would be on functional testing and automated and manual testing within large software products
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in open source test automated tools
• Good knowledge of the following technologies are beneficial Cypress (JavaScript-based testing framework) & Selenium
• Strong understanding of TA goals, areas of applicability, activities, deliverables
• Strong understanding of the OOP paradigm and its projection to code
• Understanding of the most common code design patterns and paradigms, ability to clearly recognize them in their own code
• Experience in developing End to End test suits and integrating for software build for Continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD). e.g. VSTS DevOps, Github
• Experience with Cypress (or ability to start quickly)
• Strong hands-on experience in programming/scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Upper-Intermediate English skills is a must (both written and spoken - mostly all communications are in English)

Responsibilities:

• Analysis of project needs, Test automation Strategy planning
• Providing auto-tests design and implementation for defined scope using Cypress
• Effectively collaborating with the development team to achieve acceptable results
• Researching issues in software through testing
• Reporting of status and progress according to the project and Company demand
• Assistance in the development and development of test documentation (cases, plans, procedures, etc.) as well as test automation documentation (guides, auto-generated documentation, etc.)
• Collecting, analyzing, and documenting the test results
• Reporting of issues to tracking systems

As a plus

• Experience in testing microservices in AWS is a good advantage
