Senior JavaScript Developer/Team Lead (Social Project)

We are looking for a hands-on Team Lead to join our friendly and experienced team. The purpose of this position is to build a unique platform in a social domain that delivers a personalized experience with the Bible. This development initiative came to live as a social project aimed to change people's mind about Christian religion.

In this role, you will serve as an internal champion of code quality, reusability, and extensibility. You will be working with people across several teams facing cutting-edge technologies and development practices. In this unique collaborative software development environment, you will utilize our advanced tools within our advanced technology stack: JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, RxJS, Lodash, Moment.js, Jest, Karma, Jasmine, Node JS.

Bringing value to users is the core purpose of the project, and the customer - being an experienced PO - has a strong attitude toward it.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a primary, dedicated technical expert responsible for architecture, analysis, design, development, and implementation of responsive user interface
• Be responsible for day-to-day task management and sprint planning, working closely with the product owner and stakeholders, participating in design sessions, leading and mentoring engineers to ensure that they follow best practices and guidelines, working on technical integrations with backend APIs, and working with QAs to assure top quality deliverables on time
• Evaluate and coach other developers on the technical and interpersonal best practices of software development (unit tests, code/design review, etc.)
• Create awesome code with awesome documentation
• Stand up for high quality solutions and bring new ideas to life
• Take part in technical discussions, listen to arguments, and apply critical thinking
• Interact effectively with co-workers and be able to collaborate with multiple teams

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of commercial experience in software development
• At least 1 year of experience leading an Agile team
• A leader who takes ownership of new initiatives and sees them through
• Strong command of Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven skills of software design
• Experience in Angular 4/5 +
• Experience with Node.js a plus
• Proficient knowledge in relational and NoSQL DBs
• Up-to-date knowledge of modern web standards, front-end performance patterns, scalability and accessibility
• At least Intermediate level of English
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
• Ability to work quickly and independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to accept feedback and sound criticism positively
• Extremely strong and demonstrable work ethics
• Ability to motivate and inspire individual contributors
