Middle/Senior JavaScript Developer

We are in need of a Middle/Senior JavaScript Developer with robust knowledge of React and Redux who will be taking an active part in the design, architecture, and development of advanced software solutions, and will be ensuring the high-level system support. We expect you to be independent and proactive, demonstrate competency in providing business solutions, and be good at interpreting business needs.

Customer:

Our customer is a leading US company working with financial institutions and central banks around the world to provide private permissioned blockchain solutions. Sigma Software team is developing a front-end part of the solution, while the customer's side is in charge of the back-end part. Our client is keen on the quality of the code, so all your tech approaches and initiatives will be encouraged.

Project: 

We are working on a solution called to improve the process of Commercial Paper (CP) issuing for the Asian market. In a few words, CP is a tool for short-term loans used to manage working capital or to raise funds for near-term projects and investments.

Because CP issuing is currently a truly time-consuming process and involves exchanging large amounts of physical documentation with multiple parties, this procedure demands a modern approach. Our customer has an idea of how to make this workflow smooth and painless.

Project's objective is to improve this process through digitization. This Commercial Paper initiative fits into a larger product category to enhance corporate treasury workflows. 

Responsibilities:

• Code, debug, and maintain software
• Perform code reviews
• Develop Unit Tests
• Investigate and analyze requirements
• Take part in estimation and planning sessions
• Participate in conference calls with the Customer
• Assist other team members

Requirements: 

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React
• Proven experience building scalable web sites
• Experience with NodeJS is a big plus
• 3 years of experience building RESTful services in a microservices environment
• Strong understanding of data structures and design patterns
• Continuous Integration/continuous deployment experience
• Keen to follow high coding standards
• Strong command-line experience using remote access Linux
• Experience working within an Agile development environment
• Should be a self-starter and fast learner with a willingness to learn
• Excellent communication skills and a good team player
• Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• At least Upper-Intermediate English level
