Big Data Engineer (Ad Tech)

We are looking for a motivated and talented Big Data Engineer to work on creating a project from scratch.

Project:

Our client is a company operating in the field of data analysis and data optimization. Their main area of interest is Ad Tech, where they provide custom analytics and data science services to the publishers. You will be working directly with the client's team to build and enhance a new product.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, reviewing, implementing, testing, and optimizing ETL processes
• Models development, training, and improvement
• Providing development support for existing systems
• Troubleshooting data and/or system issues

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Software Development
• Strong software development and source code quality skills
• Good knowledge of all parts of the Hadoop stack
• Good knowledge of infrastructure management tools like Chef/Terraform
• Practical experience with AWS tools (EMR, Redshift, Athena, Glue ETL, SageMaker ML)
• Good knowledge of Apache Spark, Spark SQL and SparkML
• Experience in performance tuning of Apache Spark/Hadoop MapReduce applications
• Proficiency in Python (preferably) or Java/Scala

Would be a plus:

• Practical experience with DSP and RTB services (e.g.Beeswax)
• Machine learning and/or deep learning background
• Domain knowledge (Ad Tech)
