Tooling Engineer (Plastic production)

The Position of Tooling Engineer will be based in Mukachevo. Person selected for the role will take responsibility for designing and engineering tooling protocols for molds, jigs and fixtures as required in order to meet products specifications.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…

• Prepare technical requirements for the tools for quotations
• Work together with customers and tool producer during tool preparation
• Check, validate and release the tool design
• Follow up the tool manufacturing process
• Keep time and quality schedules
• Arrange the tool trials, organize necessary resources for that
• Organize the samples from FOT, SOT and Final Tool trials
• Take over tools at tool makers
• Organize the transport of the tool to the product manufacturer sites
• Start up the tools for mass production
• Manage the tool changes and all tooling activities over tool life time, during mass production

Here is some of what you’ll need…

• University or college degree in a related field, and at least 2 years’ of relevant work experience in plastics injection moulding industry
• Experience in using 2D, 3D CAD / CAM applications (AutoCAD, Catia, Siements, Solid work etc.)
• Experience with simple measurement tools
• Ability to interface and communicate with different levels of the organization, and with external vendors
• Well organized & disciplined, good attention to detail, sets priorities and manages time effectively
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications
• High command of written and verbal English, Ukrainian
