Medical Advisor / Medical Science Liaison (relocate Minsk)

Our client the Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis Pharma Services in Republic of Belarus announces recruitment for the position "Medical Advisor / Medical Science Liaison".

Main job objectives:

As Medical Advisor: To direct and lead the professional clinical science base for the Country Pharma Organization; to efficiently and effectively deploy resources to support the business; to oversee all strategic and operational activities for Medical Affairs including for all phases of global development (also local trials), and market access support for commercialization to maximize appropriate use of Novartis products; to develop and manage long-term relationships with local regulatory bodies as a key element of the Market Access strategy. To provide thorough up-to-date medical, clinical and relevant commercial expertise to drive Novartis message delivery to key influencers and stakeholders; to collaborate with Country, Regional and Global team members in the execution of relevant Field Medical Excellence, Medical and Clinical activities in assigned project(s).

As Medical Science Liaison: To develop peer-to-peer relationships with Medical Experts/Key Stake-holders and members of the scientific community, utilizing scientific and medical evidence-based non-promotional materials. To strategically prepare and support the development, launch and marketing of Novartis products through scientific exchange, seeking external insight to shape Novartis understanding of the therapeutic environment.

Requirements:

• Education: Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry or other relevant university education;
• Fluent written and spoken knowledge of English, Russian, local languages;
• >2 years pharmaceutical or clinical research experience
• Good leadership, management and planning skills
• Good knowledge of assigned therapeutic area and scientific expertise with ability to interact with relevant KOLs as a peer.
• Knowledge of drug development, GCP and local regulations, including regulations of Promotional materials, national and international pharmacovigilance regulations. Familiar with global regulations.
• Ability to analyze and interpret results, excellent ability to present scientific data to scientific and lay audiences.
• Excellent communications, interpersonal, negotiation skills; understanding of marketing principles and strategies.
• Readiness for reasonable amount of business trips - to cover needs of Belarus depending on necessity and to be a part of the local and out-of-country events/meetings organized by the company.
