Professional Software Engineer DevOps for Austrian project

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of Unix Operating Systems, preferably Linux based.
• Good knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably Java) and SQL.
• Good (shell-) scripting experience (Bash).
• Knowledge of provisioning and configuration management tools
• Knowledge of contemporary collaboration tools (e.g. Confluence, Jira).
• Build automation and continuous integration tools (e,g, Gradle);
• Active experience with version control (SVN or Git);
• Active experience in agile development (Scrum, Kanban).
• Intermediate + level of English
• Willingness to travel (EU)
• Structured working approach, good analytical and problem solving skills.

Will be a plus:

• Active experience with cloud concepts and providers, virtualization and containerization
• Python, Docker experience
• Multi culture sensibility

Responsibilities:

• Takes innovative tasks in software development as well as enables the team by automating the delivery pipeline and operations as much as possible
• Provides an efficient delivery pipeline covering build, deployment and test automation as well as provisioning of infrastructure components.
• Environment management in development, test and production environments.
• Establishes solutions for logging and effective monitoring.
• Takes over design and development tasks (preferably Java) for innovative technology stacks (Docker, micro services, web & mobile applications).
• Work as part of an agile delivery team (Scrum)
