Professional Software Engineer DevOps for Austrian project
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Unix Operating Systems, preferably Linux based.
- Good knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably Java) and SQL.
- Good (shell-) scripting experience (Bash).
- Knowledge of provisioning and configuration management tools
- Knowledge of contemporary collaboration tools (e.g. Confluence, Jira).
- Build automation and continuous integration tools (e,g, Gradle);
- Active experience with version control (SVN or Git);
- Active experience in agile development (Scrum, Kanban).
- Intermediate + level of English
- Willingness to travel (EU)
- Structured working approach, good analytical and problem solving skills.
Will be a plus:
- Active experience with cloud concepts and providers, virtualization and containerization
- Python, Docker experience
- Multi culture sensibility
Responsibilities:
- Takes innovative tasks in software development as well as enables the team by automating the delivery pipeline and operations as much as possible
- Provides an efficient delivery pipeline covering build, deployment and test automation as well as provisioning of infrastructure components.
- Environment management in development, test and production environments.
- Establishes solutions for logging and effective monitoring.
- Takes over design and development tasks (preferably Java) for innovative technology stacks (Docker, micro services, web & mobile applications).
- Work as part of an agile delivery team (Scrum)
