Trainee Technical Writer (IRC90097)

GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Trainee Technical Writer to join its Kyiv office.

Our project is a robotic-assisted surgical system which is a master-slave, software-controlled electromechanical system designed for surgeons to perform telerobotic minimally invasive surgery.

Requirements

We are inviting Trainee Technical Writer with fluent English (written in particular), ability to work with big amounts of information, attentive to details and kind of a perfectionist, able to cope with quite routine work to join one of our team in Kyiv. Technical background will be very beneficial. The trainee will start with the following task: converting CVs into GL format. However, lots of other tasks will come for sure

• Experience in writing, technical documentation, and/or developer outreach for a developer audience.
• Understanding of IT terminology
• Experience writing, proofreading and editing.
• The ability to produce and organize content with a logical flow.
• Experience with authoring tools such as XML, HTML, Markdown, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Experience programming, using the command-line, trying out user interfaces, and working with prototype hardware in test environments.
• Team player
• Fluent English

Responsibilities

• Be part of a team responsible for the quality, discoverability and accuracy of the content, for both internal and external technologies.
• Do hands-on research and obtain necessary technical content from subject matter experts while translating it into clear, concise, structured documentation.
• In addition, have opportunities to do some coding and project management for various documentation requests.
• Create and maintain internal and external documentation for technologies and tools used.
• Work closely with engineering, product, and support teams to ensure the quality, discoverability, and accuracy of the content you create and develop.
• Design, write and edit technical and process documentation.
• Navigate through multiple platforms such as web, iOS, and Android.
• Create and maintain code sample fragments and sample apps
