GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Full-Stack Engineer (Java/Angular) to join its Kharkiv office.

An enterprise-level ecosystem of different projects to enable all business process for one of the most profitable departments at the client-side. The client is a leading provider in the construction industry worldwide. We've been working on part of the projects for 6 months and now expanding.

We have GraphQL instance for enabling Search capabilities of a massive e-commerce website. You will be working in a team responsible for Search and will migrate the current solution from Apache Solr into more sophisticated.

Requirements

• Profound working knowledge in software engineering in Java-based backend technologies developing Web Services (REST)
• Proven experience in developing end-to-end solutions using both Java and JS frameworks as Angular
• Experience in NestJS is a good plus
• Proven experience in developing microservice-based projects
• Hands-on experience in synchronous/asynchronous messaging one of the message bus technologies: ActiveMQ, Kynesis, Kafka
• Experience in API versioning
• Experience Java8+
• Proven experience in writing Unit testing
• Hands-on experience in CI/CD 
• Maven or Gradle
• Experience in migrating production data
• Familiarity with agile/collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, GitLab)
• Demonstrated competency using cloud technologies
• Ability to effectively work with team members & customers around the globe in a virtual environment
• Strong proficiency in the English language, an agile mindset, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to embrace change & new technologies

Responsibilities

The Backend Development Engineer (Java) translates business needs into technical application design. This role is responsible for planning, estimating, and developing product interfaces in an agile environment in alignment with the product owners. The Backend Development Engineer actively partners with the client's product/solution owners to translate jointly defined unit tests into working, scalable customer solutions. Moreover, this role defines quality assurance processes in close cooperation with QA team and supports the developed solutions throughout the life cycle of the application - contributing to the development of standards, guidelines, & best practices.  This position is responsible for leading the technical delivery of software, matching the needs of the target customer base.
