Lead 3D Modeling Engineer (IRC89098)

GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Lead 3D Modeling Engineer to join its Kyiv office.

The goal of the project is to build and maintain the training program according to the internal client standard. Needs to be integrated with supplier existing Ecosystem.

The platform is expected to be complex with a range of separate programs and modules to study (both options are planned for offline and online study). Multi-language support. Most of the contents need to be created from scratch, based on the input info from the client.

Requirements

• Experience modeling assets for games using Maya, or related experience/software
• An exceptional understanding of form, shape, structure, and silhouette in regard to modeling
• Strong experience and techniques in creating hard-surface models
• Strong artistic ability to visualize entire levels and detail with minimal concept art and direction
• Strong technical ability to manage assets to fit memory, design, and frame rate limits
• Strong polygonal modeling skills- able to generate clean and efficient models at a very fast pace
• Self-motivated- requires minimal direction, can carry on the vision for the level until completion and commit to deadlines
• Good communication skills - able to help others and ask for help when needed. Being proactive in sharing info and assets
• English both spoken and written
• Great team-player attitude - being flexible with new ideas, being open to direction and changes. Listening to team mates
• Deadline oriented- being able to manage and organize work so he meets all the deadlines and is able to adjust when changes happen
• Foundation in the traditional arts
• Experience in setup of software development processes
• Experience in tech leading, setup of the code review similar process, technical mentoring
• Whiling to trip to customer location to take part in the project start activities (gathering the initial requirements, perform the initial estimation process for the functionalities)

Responsibilities

• Create models and assemble scenes for machinery assets
• Trouble-shoot levels and maintain them to stay in and design spec
• Experience in texturing (Allegorithmic Suite, Photoshop)
• Basic rigging abilities
• Basic animation abilities
• Export assets for Unity
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
• Setup software development processes
• Tech leading, setup of the code review similar process, technical mentoring
