Senior Java Engineer (IRC78789)

GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Senior Java Developer to join its Mykolaiv office.

Our Customer connects shoppers to the brands leveraging personalized digital media. Customer owns the evolving purchase history of more than three-quarters (280 million) of American shoppers. With the world's largest shopper purchase history database driving personalized media across our networks, they drives lift and loyalty for the world's leading retailers and CPG brands.

As a member of Digital Team you will be working on brand new Big Data analytical solution to track performance of advertisement and promotional campaings. You will deliver (design/code/test) and support quality full stack software in a modern agile development environment. You will collaborate with the product team, UX, and domain experts to engineer new value-add features. You will pitch in as needed to support your team, including design/code reviews and troubleshooting, and mentor less seasoned members of the engineering team. On the process side, you will continuously improve, adapt, and align processes to enhance teams' agility and productivity.

Requirements

• Total of 5 years of software engineering experience with a strong knowledge of Java technologies and OO design patterns
• Strong knowledge and expirience with Spring Boot (experience with Spring Web, Spring Actuator, Spring Data is plus)
• Experience with large scale NoSQL/SQL large data stores, and streaming, multi-stage data pipelines and related technologies, e.g., Elastic Search, Cassandra, Spark, Kafka, or similar will be preferred
• Good knowledge of Javascript language. Development experience with JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular is a big plus
• Excellent coding skills
• Strong technical aptitude with conceptual and logical understanding of full stack web software architecture
• Knowledge and expertise in working with a variety of databases, operating systems & networking fundamentals, software design and programming best practices.
• Experience in reliable distributed systems, with an emphasis on high-volume data management within enterprise and scalable products and platforms that operate under strict SLAs is big plus
• Experience with development on container based micro-services cloud platforms, like Kubernetes is a big plus.
• Excellent inter-personal and teamwork skills
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analysis skills

Responsibilities

• Ownership of significant areas of the code for new feature/functionality development as well as maintain/redesign existing areas of the products
• Build both front end and backend systems
• Translate business requirements into technical tasks and provide estimates
• Remove obstacles, provide mentorship and guidance to the team members during the engineering process
• Promote and ensure adherence to secure coding, unit testing, test automation, and continuous delivery best practices
