GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Junior Java Developer for VOS Project to join its Kyiv office.

The Customer is a leading provider of innovative broadband solutions that deliver video, voice and data to communications providers around the world. One of its projects is a cloud based solution for video processing. GL team participates in the development of kernel and application level software as well and automation tests.

Requirements

• Core Java 8
• Solid understanding of Object Oriented Design
• At least intermediate speaking English
• Bachelor degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Math or related

Technical Skills and Abilities:

• 2+ years experience in application development for Java EE platform
• Understanding of technology principles, protocols, and security practices used in network applications.
• Knowledge of patterns surrounding the code, the frameworks, the data flow, and the external service structure.
• Experience in: Spring (IoC, MVC, JMS, JPA integration), servlet containers
• Ability to design and write software components that are scalable and reusable.
• Experience in and advocate for software testing (unit, integration, system, etc)
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

Responsibilities

•  Design and develop new projects and feature from scratch
•  Do contribution to all components/layers of the system
•  Troubleshoot and analyze problems identified in the system software.
•  Cover code with unit tests, integration tests and end-to-end tests
•  Research and development of the latest trends and best practices, spreading the knowledge to the teams
•  Perform as a member of SCRUM team, adhering to Sprint objectives and meeting team goals.
•  Ensure development timelines are met, raising concerns when they arise and rallying team to make deadlines
