Peace Corps Ukraine is a US government agency and seeks qualified and motivated candidates for the temporary full-time position of Pre-Service Training Coordinator in Zhytomyr, Ukraine. Under the director of the Peace Corps Training Manager, the Pre-Service Training Coordinator (PST Coordinator) is responsible for coordinating logistics and support for 50 contractors and 130 American trainees in 10 Peace Corps training sites in the Zhytomyr oblast during a 10-week training period. The PST Coordinator serves as the liaison between Peace Corps staff and local government officials and other community partners. The PST Coordinator is responsible for working with local community contacts to secure housing, classrooms, and other venues for American trainees. The PST Coordinator is responsible for coordinating ongoing support for American trainees. The PST Coordinator coordinates the implementation of the Training of Trainers Workshop and Pre-Service Training Curriculum and conducts regular presentations.
Employment Dates: Employment will take place in two locations:
- July 30-August 9 - 2 week Training of Trainers course in Kyiv oblast
- August 12-October 17 - Paid 10-week assignment in the Zhytomyr region.

Main Responsibilities:
- Serves as liaison with local administration, community contacts, host families, and staff
- Organizes training sessions for Trainees and local partners
- Coordinates the assessment of Trainees and evaluates their learning progress
- Prepare regular reports on program operations.
Required Qualifications:
- A university degree in education or any related field;
- 3 years of experience with an international organization as a program coordinator or trainer. (Note: Experience training adults in an intercultural setting preferred.)
- Excellent Computer Skills
- Ability to conduct training and give presentations, in both English and Ukrainian;
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends/evenings
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication skills.
