React.js Developer

Job Description & Required Skills:

We are looking for a great ReactJS developer. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows. You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product are important. A currently using stack is Slack, Jira, Github, React, Vue, NodeJS and MongoDB.

• 2-3 years of relevant work experience;
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles;
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux);
• Experience with data structure libraries;
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs;
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token;
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools;
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.;
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate and team with others;
• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Experience working remotely.

Additional Skills

• Proven proficiency with MongoDB is a plus;

• C# and Mobx and GraphQL and feathersJS and MongoDB experience a plus;

• Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus

• Degree in the related field;

Job Responsibilities

• Developing new user-facing features using React.js;

• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use;

• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code;

• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers. 

Working conditions

• Early developers and high performers may be offered shares within the company. We are currently going through series A funding audits, which should end sometime in January 2020.
• There is currently no home office. All employees work from home, and we meet a few times a year for a week on the East coast (NYC or Philadelphia) or West Coast (Hollywood).
• There are an unlimited vacation, sick and personal days.
• Developers will report to the Director of Technology

* Business trips to the US are possible. An open US visa is preferred, or at least you should have a possibility to get it.

** The required start date is October 16th, 2019.

100% Full-time/remote (home-based)/long-term / contract position. *no relocation possibilities. 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day (US EST) Monday-Friday. We expect people to be available for daily brief stand-ups that we conduct using video and be available on slack for at least a few hours a day (US EST). Other than that performance is gauged solely on ideas and features they build. There is no clock-in or clock-out time. We are looking to hire people that enjoy fast moving, trust-based, work-from-home environments.
