The Open Data ScienceConference (ODSC) is an international conference series that brings together the best minds in data science. As a global leader, we host international conferences in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science around the globe including Boston, San Francisco, New York, London, Tokyo, India, Sao Paulo, and Ukraine. We have one of the largest online communities in data science and AI via our blog site and training site. We host data scientists from companies like Apple, Google, Uber, Amazon, Facebook, IBM, and the hottest startups in the field.

About the position:

ODSC is seeking a driven, enthusiastic self-starter to plan, organize and handle all logistical details for multiple large scale (3000+) attendee events. The primary focus of this position is to streamline our global events, making the planning process effective and efficient. This position requires someone who is comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced, startup environment and is comfortable with responsibility and multi-tasking.

This position is for our office in Lviv, Ukraine and open to candidates who can commute there on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize and execute all aspects of national and international conferences

• Including but not limited to convention space, hotel packages, food & beverage, pre-event setup (deliveries, IT, room preparation)

• Find, hire and manage all day of event staff (ODSC employees, temporary employees, media/IT staff etc)

• Managing orders for events (signage, food & beverage, giveaway items, etc.)

• Negotiate and finalize contracts for all aspects of event needs

• Lead daily logistics calls and organize sprint planning

Requirements :

• Solid experience either managing staff or managing groups of volunteers

• Excellent time management and communication skills

• Proven ability to build productive, lasting business relationships

• Ability to manage multiple projects independently as well as with a team

• Fluent in the English language

• Interest in Data Science or Technology is a plus

• Bachelor's degree
