Our client, a large distribution company, is looking for a General Director.





  • Use knowledge of market place, competition and customers to make improvements to develop the retail strategy. Identify and develop commercial opportunities delivering growth to the retail strategy
  • Full accountability for the retail P&L and for managing the growth of the business
  • Accountable for annual business sales plans and operating budgets
  • Own and develop the overall retail offering
  • Accountable for the operational excellence, financial performance and customer service in the Retail stores, continually driving market share
  • Responsible for managing the balance between optimising current trade and developing new ideas to improve the overall performance across all Stores
  • Ensuring the Brand values are maintained across all activities, making sure the customer and customer experience remains central to all projects and decisions
  • Influence and engage through networking internally and externally to build the brand identity
  • Work closely with the sales team to guide them on how to pitch and grow the market share
  • Accountable for constantly developing service strategies to improve the customer experience and loyalty
  • Work closely with all retail partners and the product team. Demonstrate high level negotiation skills at CEO level. Collaborating with the Head of IT, E-Commerce and Marketing to facilitate the development of Omni channel initiatives
  • Leading and managing the Area Manger's development and performance to deliver annual targets and brand vision in the stores by effective business analysis and strategy
  • Hit revenue targets set by the company.




  • Higher degree education in Economics or relevant experience in Retail Operations
  • Significant experience in distribution and/or retail and/or B2B
  • Must be hands-on with high level of energy and professional skills to function effectively and independently in a demanding, fast-paced, change-oriented environment
  • Strong business acumen, problem solving skills, critical thinking, proactive and with self-initiative Strong commercial skills and people management skills
  • The ability to influence and partner with different levels of the business in order to build relationships and drive results.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate the team
  • Comfortable with numbers and analysing large data sets
  • A deep understanding of business and how businesses are run
  • Fluent English on addition to Ukrainian and Russian.
