Skylum is a software development company based in Kiev and San Francisco, Ukraine. It is most known for its photo editing software Aurora HDR and Luminar. Skylum is also the developer of Snapheal, Focus, Tonality, Intensify, Noiseless and FX Photo Studio.

Skylum began in 2008 as a company that developed apps for iPhone. In the first three years, the company released over 60 different applications, but the biggest successes came from their photography apps. Company topped more than 20,000,000 downloads with its most popular applications: FX Photo Studio, Silent Film Director, and Perfect Photo.

Early in 2011, the company launched its first photo software on the Mac App Store - FX Photo Studio Pro. A year later, Skylum received its first recognition from Apple - Snaphealwas named among the Best Apps on the App Store.

Since then, Skylum's products have been consistently achieving awards, including "Best of the Year" awards by Apple for six straight years. In 2017, Luminar was awarded "Best Imaging Software 2017" honors by TIPA followed in October 2017 by "Best Software Plugin" by the Lucie Technical Awards. Aurora HDR was also selected as the Best Mac App of 2017 by Apple.

Requirements:

Hard skills: 

? Strong knowledge of R or Python, focused to data analysis and exploration;

? Experienced with visualization packages (pyplot, seaborn, etc.);

? SQL query language proficiency;

? Understanding of fundamental machine learning algorithms - Random Trees, Forests, Naive;

? Bayes, Regressions, etc.

Will be a plus:

? Basic Data Science related DevOps (ex: you can dockerize your model with Flask)

? Deep Learning experience - experience with deep neural networks training 

? Google Analytics API query language

Responsibilities:

Building and managing company data analytics and data science from ground up. This includes overseeing and taking responsibility for company's BI system accuracy as a baseline. Building various predictive models for various teams, deploying them to production and analysing results. Presenting your finding for assorted stack of teams and people, including board of directors.
