Public Affairs Manager

SANOFI UKRAINE, one of the leading pharmaceutical companies, announces the position of Public Affairs Manager.

Key responsibilities:

• To participate in execution of company's public affairs strategy and patients advocacy activities
• To take perform activities in order to support the development of a health care policy environment favourable to patients and company's business
• To participate in development of close relationships with relevant decision makers and healthcare stakeholders
• To increase the companies visibility and position company's as an opinion leader in the local pharmaceutical and Healthcare environment transformation
• To build trust, preserve and develop the reputation of the company as a patient focused company
• To identify Public/Private Partnership opportunities, to help in building long-term relationships with decisions makers and the civil society (patient associations, NGOs, international donors and associations etc.)
• To promote and respect company's values, code of Ethics and social charter

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS INTERNAL

Cross Functional Collaboration with:

• Support Functions (Communications, Market Access, Legal, Regulatory, etc)
• Business Units (Diabetes, Rare Deceases, Multiple Sclerosis, Vaccines etc)

EXTERNAL

Would be expected to be involved with:

• Business Associations (e.g. ACC, EBA, APRAD, Business Ombudsman Office, others associations of international businesses)
• State Bodies (e.g. Ministry of Health, National Health Service of Ukraine, Parliament Healthcare Committee, State Expert Centre of MOH, Central Procurement Agency)
• Support Patients Associations Activities (awareness events mainly for the following therapeutically areas Diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis, Rare Diseases
• Other stakeholders (Embassies, International Organizations, NGOs, Donors)

Skills, Experience & Knowledge Requirements

• Fluent English
• University degree in medicine/public relation/communication
• Experience in pharmaceutical business /health care administration system/international businesses;
• Understanding of ways of working of state bodies, business associations, patients' organizations and NGOs, embassies, EU institutions
• Understanding of public health systems and ways of funding (e.g. public, national health insurance, private)
• Understanding and ability to assimilate legal, commercial, financial aspects and their impact on the Public Affairs function and on whole company activity in Ukraine
• Analytic thinking skills
• Very good communication and interpersonal relations skills, people-oriented approach
• Team-player, with mid and long perspective vision integrity,
• Adaptable in complex situations, able to handle pressure and commit to deadlines, ability to think innovatively with using the relevant state-of-the art digital solutions
• Deep confidentiality, tact, diplomacy, intuition
• Computer literacy: advanced knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS
• PowerPoint, MS Outlook
