Project Description

Responsibilities
You will own the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and managing the releases across the enterprise for multiple strategic applications under Application Delivery. The releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, Projects and Programs. Where necessary you'll provide tools and services to help product management and project teams manage and deploy releases into production.
You would also work with different IT management, including Infrastructure and AMS, to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments.
You will assist in managing projects and interdependencies to ensure milestone adherence to ensure the integrity of the release can be measured.
Forward plan the release windows and cycles across the Application Delivery portfolio
Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
Communicate all key release plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
Produce Production Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
Weekly Release Reporting
Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
Work with development\Functional\AMS teams to understand impacts of branches and code retrofits and merges
Maintains the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
Lead and co-ordinate the Technical Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
Participate in meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
Researches new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyzes their application to current configuration management needs
Orchestrate and coordinate relevant integration activities to support key activities of Release
Requirements
Mandatory:
3 years minimum experience as SAP Release Manager
6 years minimum of SAP projects experience
3 years minimum of Project Management experience in operations/administration
Preferred:
Release management in non SAP and /or cloud applications
SAP development experience and /or SAP Funactional consultanting and/or SAP Basis experience
Professional experience in managing complex work environments, integrating multiple teams and activities
Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
High ability to coordinate cross teams work toward one task completion
High ability to solve conflicts between contredicted customers requirments
Strong communication and peoples skills
Strong spoken and written stils in the English language
Able to balance and prioritize in accordance with project's goals and time lines.
Ability to work in a matrix environment
Manage teams across different timezone
Ability to build strong working relationships across teams centrally, extended IT and business teams in country
Attention to detail, precision, thoroughness and ability to identify and solve issues
Analytical, high attention to overall picture, able to prioritize
Ability to develop and evolve long-term strategies while driving tactical projects
Customer-orientated
This job requires national and international travel up to 10% of the time
Upper-Intermediate English - for writing, reading and speaking
