External Service Provider Contract Manager for External Warehouse

About the job

The purpose of your job is to reach excellence in running warehouse operations by External Service Provider, deliver ordered goods within the agreed time and in the agreed quality to the lowest possible warehouse operation costs. Act as the interface and link between the IKEA and the External Service Provider's organization

Important to know, that the workplace for this position will be located in the nice new IKEA smart office within a warehouse, in Brovary Ring Road area. The transportation will be provided for you to reach the office easily and safe.

About the assignment

In this role, you will be a part of the Logistics team, you will be accountable for the Warehouse operations run by External Service Provider and you will directly work with the External Service Provider's Representative /Operations Manager to:

• Maintain and develop agreed contractual Service Standards together with External Service Provider and Retail.
• Secure, develop, communicate, explain and follow-up of strategy, business plan and relevant actions.
• Provide information about plans and results and gain understanding for their overall importance.
• Manage the External Service Provider performance and develop the partnership into a close co-operation, make sure that the 'fair deal' is secured.
• Be a "Bridge builder" between IKEA and External Service Provider with emphasis on interaction between IKEA and External Service Provider's staff.
• Together with External Service Provider implement warehousing process/concepts and agreed technology in the warehouse.
• Secure that the IKEA rules and guidelines as well as laws and regulations are followed, including IWAY implementation and audit.
• Be in charge of and responsible for yearly budget process between IKEA and External Service Provider.
• Maintain and develop agreed contractual Service Standards together with External Service Provider and Retail.

• 3-5 years working experience within the managerial function (preferably in warehouse operations)
  
• Good understanding of the supply chain and aspects related to work in a warehouse
  
• Proven negotiation skills (for example from purchasing experience)
  
• Ability to implement structural way of working within the area of responsibility
  
• Proven leadership skills enable to communicate, inspire and motivate External Service Provider to reach goals
  
• Fluent in English and local language, both spoken and written
