At this point, Zelh is looking for team-oriented and enthusiastic Structural Engineer to join our team.

Required skills:

• Proficient in reading and writing in English;
• Master's / Bachelor's degree in (Civil) Engineering;
• Proficient in Revit 3D modeling of residential structures & Microsoft Excel (4-7 years of experience);
• Masters is preferred with an emphasis on structural design;
• Knowledge of Risa 3D, concrete design and steel design;
• Excellent understanding of structural theories and apply them through practical design;
• Ability to learn new building code standards and apply them to design;
• Highly self-motivated, a team player, demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills;

Responsibilities and Duties:

• We are seeking a mid-level engineer with 4-7 years of experience to join our structural team;
• Provide vertical and lateral structural calculations for light frame residential structures;
• Generate structural details and plans;
• Work with a team of engineers to improve structural design methodology;
• Research and develop equations and calculation templates based off US engineering design standard;
• Typical design manuals utilized for reference are ASCE7-10, NDS, CBC etc.;
• Develop solutions to problems to resolve design and detailing challenges;
• Undertake multi-discipline design & coordination activities with other members of the project team;
• Work with the engineers to identify and foresee and avoid practical challenges within a proposed design;
• Help develop and improve Revit template, bespoke families, details to deliver improved efficiency and quality on future projects;
• Follow all instructions given by the responsible engineer to assist them in developing their design;
• Maintain a good working relationship with all clients, architects and other members of the design team to secure repeat work;
• Meeting deadlines;
• Good understanding of home construction;
