Senior Python Engineer

Intel 471 is looking for a Senior Python Engineer for our office in Kyiv.

The ideal candidate has previous experience developing high-volume data engineering products, combining data from multiple sources into a single stream, works all over the stack, having expertise in both web development and system development, has built large-scale projects from scratch, has had any work responsibilities typical for Software Architect and is willing to work in the security or intelligence industry.

The position will drive the development of cutting-edge data collecting technology, providing updates from thousands of restricted access websites and instant messaging chats, data processing technology designed to merge various data sources into a joint stream, and data crawling software automating actions of thousands of bots.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Senior Python Engineer is responsible for creating new data collection and processing services to fit into the Intel 471 product family, working on improving existing core technologies of Intel 471 data collection and processing, writing and reviewing excellent code in Python, Java, C++, Lua, Javascript and other languages, and mentoring junior personnel.

You must be self-motivated, able to work independently in an agile environment, propose own ideas for incorporation into the development schedule and possess strong analytical and design skills.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

• Python 3, any asynchronous Python framework (Twisted, Tornado, asyncio)
• Expertise in designing and implementing SQL and NoSQL data storages
• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Test-driven development experience
• Understand web UI concepts and technologies

Preferable:

• Familiarity with C++, Java, Lua, Javascript, mathematics degree
• Understanding of business processes, knowledge sharing importance
• Knowledge of AWS
