Senior Python Data Engineer - Remote Position

YOU:

• 5+ years of relevant development experience
• Strong practical knowledge of Python, Django and it's libraries
• Experience with:
•          Parallelization of complex operations 
•          Understanding of multiprocessing / threading
•          Asynchronous approaches in Python
•          Distributed information extraction, retrieval and data processing
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, relational DB design and Elastic Search
• Passion for startups, innovation and technology
• Strong working knowledge of English

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 

We have developed an internal event-driven, stateful-stream-processing information extraction system (think of a search engine). Our system runs container-based, distributed, and has multiple agents / stages.

Our Stack is Python (Django, Celery, Scrapy, Jupyter), PostgreSQL, ELK stack, Docker. In an earlier generation, we also used Kafka.
