Middle BigData Engineer #8321

Our client is an important player at Europe insurance services field. As many companies within such industry, they are looking to increase amount of insight coming from company data. On this project you’d work on establishing Kafka streaming solution catered to client data research objectives.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with BigData app based on Kafka Streams and Java
• Implement Java microservices using Spring Boot
• Refactor codebase to increase the reliability and performance of a solution
• Cover implemented functionality with a sufficient number of tests
• Work closely with Engineering teams
• Work in close contact with team members and project stakeholders on the client’s site

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

MUST have:

• Commercial experience in BigData domain and Java / Spring Boot
• Experience with Kafka / Kafka streams, kSQL, MongoDB, Docker
• Debugging skills
• Can work with cross-team members on large and complex projects
• Good English and communication skills (Upper-intermediate)
• Accountability and self organization
• Fast research and learning skills
