Purpose of the job:

The Cloud Core Data-Storage manager (CCDM) is a Telco-grade database, designed to provide the major robustness and higher service availability required in the telecom market. Its main characteristics are: Real-time access, high throughput, low latency, high availability, multiple redundancy mechanisms, network congestion handling, high capacity and scalability, and ensured data consistency and durability.

The CCDM is a key component of the Customer's 5G Core solution and allows the centralization of subscription plus other data and structuring it to provide an optimal access. CCDM realizes the User Data Repository (UDR) and Subscription Profile Repository (SPR) entities standardized by 3GPP and is designed according to 5G Service-Based Architecture principles. We're looking for a software engineer with experience with design and implementation of microservices, container-based and cloud-native application development.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with product management
• Provide support to internal operation teams to ensure systems are compliant and secure
• Increasing unit/Integration tests coverage
• Risk estimations and management
• Report current status, estimates and risks to stakeholders
• Report to Team Lead

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

MUST HAVE:

• University Degree in Computer Related or equivalent experience
• Commercial Java development experience 2+ years
• Experience in Cloud native software stacks and execution environments (Kubernetes, Dockers)
• Strong development practices including code reviews, unit testing and regression testing
• Knowledge of database concepts: SQL and no-SQL (Geode, Cassandra)
• High availability concepts/ techniques (replication, leadership election, active/standby)
• TCP/IP Networking and evolution transport protocols (like QUIC), data networks and IP-based applications (HTTP, HTTPS, ..).
• Capacity to investigate and debug complex issues. Including performance tuning experience, troubleshooting, core dump analysis, ...
• Knowledge in operating system architectures and capacity to model scalable designs and solutions
• Experience with microservice architecture
• Intermediate+ English
• Good communication

WOULD BE A PLUS:

• Python experience
• C++ experience
• Familiar with Apache Geode functionalities and architecture
