PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Our client is a Fintech company that provide services in the area of a modern payment solutions, developing API for card issuer companies. As a Team Lead Data Engineer you will take part in platform migration from AWS Redshift to Snowflake.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the team according to established processes while tightly collaborating with the stakeholders

Build/consume/migrate data pipelines in superset platform for the data visualization

Analyze and troubleshoot any failures in the data pipeline

Create/optimize complex queries

Identify the data that describes inconsistencies between the client and server databases

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

MUST HAVE:

Strong knowledge in database, data-warehouse design and architecture, administration, performance optimization, monitoring

Strong knowledge of SQL

at least 1 year of experience with AWS infrastructure (RDS, Aurora, S3, Redshift, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, DMS, Data Pipelines, Glue etc.)

Experience with ETL/ELT process and tools

2+ years of commercial experience with Python

at least 1 year of Team Lead experience

Upper-Intermediate level of English

Well-developed team work and communication skills

WOULD BE A PLUS:

Snowflake hands-on experience is a huge plus

Apache Airflow experience

Working with tracing, logging information

Query execution performance tuning

Data migration

Data-warehouse star/snowflake, data vault

TSQL, pgSQL, MySQL, RedshiftSQL

NoSQL data, CSV, JSON, Parquet etc.
