Android Senior Engineer #7167 (relocation to Canada)

Purpose of the job:

We are looking for Android SW Engineer, who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and will work with our team of talented developers.

Our client is one of the world's largest online marketplaces, dealing with one billion events per day. Currently, we are building a team which will work onsite at customer's office in Vancouver.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Guide team development and testing efforts towards successful project delivery
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
• Take part in requirements analyzes
• Interact with customer and provide technical solutions
• Contribute best-in-class programming skills to develop highly innovative, consumer-facing mobile products
• Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software
• Provide support to QA and other internal teams

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

MUST HAVE:

• MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ year of professional software development experience
• 3+ year of Android programming experience
• Fluent in using tools like IntelliJ, Github, Charles and Flipper
• Expert in Java and Android SDK
• Strong experience with Kotlin
• In-depth knowledge of OOP concepts & techniques
• Experience creating custom UI elements, UI animation techniques and creating a rich, interactive UX on Android
• Experience in unit testing and automated UI testing
• Experience with modern third party libraries and frameworks
• Experience with Multi-Threading and memory management specific to mobile devices
• At least Upper-intermediate level of English

WOULD BE A PLUS:

• Experience developing SDKs or integrating 3rd psarty SDKs into Android native application
• Experience with HTTP, XML, JSON and HTML and interacting with Server based web services via REST
• Keen eye for design
• Experience working with remote teams
• Experience with CI tools
