Java Senior Engineer #6882

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Our client is one of the world largest marketplaces, dealing with one billion events per day. Currently, we are building a team which will work onsite at customer office in San Francisco. As part of this team, we're looking for Senior Java Engineer who will be able to participate in the SRE effort and find the best technical solutions for our customer.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research and evaluate technical options to implement business requirements
• Ensure with quality development standards since the application is processing billions of events (unit/integration tests, etc.)
• Work in close contact with team members and project stakeholders on customer's site
• Suggest technical and functional improvements to add value to the product
• Write quality, maintainable code with extensive test coverage in a fast-paced professional software engineering environment
• Monitoring and troubleshooting
• Configuration management, release automation, and orchestration technologies
• Interact with customer and provide technical solutions

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of commercial Java development experience
• Experience working with microservices architecture
• Ability to read Ruby code
• Understanding monitoring technologies focused on logging
• Troubleshooting skills
• Unit Testing
• Well-developed communication and team-working skills
• Upper-Intermediate level of English

WOULD BE A PLUS

• Ruby, RoR experience
• Finance domain knowledge
