Node.JS Engineer for Lohika Financial Platform Project

Our customer is a Canadian company which delivers financial services and award-winning software to small businesses around the world. They need experienced technology leaders to help build, improve, and scale their platform hosted in AWS. You will help develop major features and subsystems and deliver them to production using the best continuous integration and continuous delivery practices. Shipping these features will require smooth communication with all stakeholders and solid judgment about how to architect code to both ship quickly and handle changes in the future.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product management to define, architect, and build new product features.
• Take part in requirements analysis.
• Interact with customer and provide technical solutions.
• Take personal responsibility for the quality, reliability, and availability of our infrastructure.
• Participate in functional and architectural design of assigned features.
• Research and evaluate technical options to implement assigned features.
• Provide estimations of feature scope and split it into tasks.
• Implement fixes for service packs and hotfixes for specific customer issues.
• Provide training for other team members on his/her area of responsibility.

Education, skills and experience:

• 3+ years of full cycle commercial development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js.
• Knowledge of NoSQL Databases.
• Upper-intermediate level of English

Would be a plus:

• Experience with React.js (or other UI framework) or desire to work with it.
• Be familiar with TypeScript.
• Experience with Koa framework.
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Experience with AWS, Serverless, DynamoDB, Docker, CI/CD tools, Webhooks.
• Familiarity with Shopify API.
