Business Intelligence Analyst (with SQL proficiency)

Role Purpose:

Supervises and operates business intelligence applications and various tools (data analytics, data visualization, and data modeling) to transform data into insights, improve company's processes, identify trends and correlations that help make appropriate business decision and drive business value.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business processes and requirements, develop and manage optimal and scalable BI solutions to meet customer needs, identify opportunities to improve processes with technology solutions.
• Design, develop, test and implement data warehouse systems for BI reporting and analysis. Validate data warehouse system for data integrity, quality and accuracy.
• Researching, developing, and implementing data-gathering methods. Review and validate customer data as it's collected. Analyzing and synthesizing data.
• Generate BI reports, dashboards and data models with the help of BI tools and MS-Office products.
• Generate insights by synthesizing data and converting complex findings into understandable reports and analysis, communicate effectively to BCH teams to help them make data driven business decisions.
• Collaborate with various business users to translate evolving business needs into coherent reports and analytics, analyze existing reporting and suggest improvements.
• Manage upgrades, modifications, maintenance and troubleshooting of BI systems. Identify and resolve BI report related issues. Provide recommendations to enhance BI system performance and capacity.
• Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data. Create and maintain documentation including requirements, design and user manuals.
• Remain current on industry trends with respect to BI capabilities. Implement new data analysis methodologies. Execute BI projects within assigned budget and timelines.

Qualification & Competencies:

• Bachelor/Master's degree in statistic, mathematic, computer science (or related).
• Proficient in databases and statistical packages.
• Expert problem-solving and analytical skills, high degree of business acumen.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Languages skills: English (Upper-Intermediate or above).

Technical knowledge and skills:

• T-SQL (MS SQL Server), OLAP, ETL, DWH
• MS Office suite + VBA (Access, Excel incl. Power Query, Power Pivot)
• BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView)
• Python, R programming languages is an advantage.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in data analysis and BI.
• Proven experience with programming for data analysis.
• Project management experience, work in cross-functional teams.
• Work experience in Pharmaceutical industry (Rx/OTC) is a plus.
• Work experience in big Multinational companies (different sectors) is a plus.
