Bayer Ltd, a leading multinational company, is opening a position of HR Business Partner

 

This job partners the divisional management board as interface and strategic point of contact to the Bayer group HR Community & Line Management. The incumbent provides high-quality consultancy on a diverse set of strategic HR issues and represents the subgroup / service group specific needs towards the HR leadership bodies, e.g. to initiate policy design and maintenance.

He/she ensures the implementation and application of agreed upon Bayer Group HR policies and programs throughout the subgroup / service group organization.

In addition this position supports the Country Division Head in the resolution of critical individual HR cases.

 

Strategic

  • Act as HR strategist, change agent and implementation advisor; is familiar with the strategic plans of the company and help managers to translate strategy into practice.
  • Provide HR perspectives on divisional business strategies; consult with line management on HR implications.
  • Coordinate the requirements-input for Bayer Group HR instruments; initiate policy design and maintenance via HR leadership bodies, proactively partner with CoEs (Center of Expertise) to create innovative HR solutions reflecting business group specific needs.
  • Act as a point of contact for the overall work council representatives or ensure adequate contact from the Business Partner Organization.

 

Customer relationship

  • Coach and advice the Divisional Management Board on general HR issues.
  • Help senior executives to align employee's capabilities to the mid-to-long-term business needs.
  • Drive the creation and circulation of HR management information throughout the business group.
  • Help subordinate BPs defining yearly HR plan and their objectives.
  • Act as a point of escalation for subordinate HR//Business Partners in case of problems.
  • Facilitate and support salary review, peer reviews, promotion panels, personnel organization conferences (Talent Review) on divisional level.

 

Operational excellence

  • Promote the use of best practice among subordinate and peer HR//Business Partners.
  • Monitor quality and costs of services rendered by service providers (e.g. HR//direct); address necessary actions towards the Head of HR.
  • Define subgroup/ service group figures on total labor cost, human capital appreciation, and supplier cost management.

 

People development

  • Ensure support and guidance of senior line managers to build and maintain a powerful talent pipeline by means of professional application of standard Bayer group instruments; help line management to process performance management and to link individual performances to business and leadership objectives.

 

Education

  • University level required, either in business administration, law or specifically HR or related issues.
  • Experience: profound HR experience in different HR functions

 

Skills/experiences

  • Several years in managerial HR positions
  • English language should be fluent in spoken and written
  • Intensive knowledge about the legal employment conditions and the Group HR policies and requirements
  • General knowledge and experience in Union/Works Council relations
  • Complete set of wide HR competencies : labour law, compensation & benefits, people development
  • Professional leadership experience
  • Experience in leading a larger organization
  • Team-oriented leadership skills honed through experience with senior management
  • Experienced in multidisciplinary project- and corresponding change management
  • Understanding of complex business issues and strategies
  • International experienced and capability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Good understanding of financial impacts derived from HR decisions and policies
  • Strong ability to give the vision to the local HR organization while being able to facilitate and make decisions in operational HR areas.
  • General business acumen
  • Take a strong stand with management if required
