Bayer Ukraine, a leading multinational company, is opening a position of

 

Tax Manager

 

Position purpose

 

The Tax manager manages the tax interests for Bayer Ltd. in Ukraine: to local tax authorities, to third parties to the business and affiliated companies (corporate governance).

Thereby, important objectives for the Tax Manager are:

  • the assurance of compliance with local tax laws (tax compliance)
  • the minimization of the net present value of tax cash out of group companies in Country while simultaneously considering the minimization of tax risks and
  • the avoidance of loss of reputation of the Bayer Ltd. in Ukraine (corporate compliance)

 

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper management of all tax compliance issues related to Bayer Ltd. Ukraine (all businesses and activities) in Ukraine, i.e.

-prepare the tax returns

-ensure the consistency of tax computations and tax declarations

-prepare transfer pricing filing

-discuss and negotiate all relevant tax issues with tax administrations in Ukraine

-manage and support tax audits conducted by tax administrations to minimize potential negative impacts on Bayer's tax position in Ukraine, i.e. develop and implement strategies to defend Bayer's tax position

  • optimize the tax position of the Bayer ltd. Ukraine while complying with local tax rules and international tax treaties. By that the Tax Manager has to ensure consistent income tax planning and has to monitor tax transfer price regulations. Simultaneously, he/she has to consider the minimization of tax risks and the working capital of all Bayer Ltd. Ukraine.
  • Ensure the implementation of Bayer's tax strategy as outlined by Bayer AG Corporate Taxes (BAG-FI-TX)
  • Ensure and monitor the implementation of Group guidelines, policies and directives in Country as far as taxation matters are concerned
  • Provide expertise and guidance on all tax related matters regarding M&A and reorganization projects as well as legal agreements affecting Bayer entities in Ukraine

 

Skills, experience and qualifications

 

  • High level university degree in tax/accounting/economic/finance matters
  • Excellent knowledge about local tax law and regulations and high degree of understanding of international tax rules and Transfer Pricing practices and policies
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experiences in tax or accounting, preferably in an industrial, consulting or tax administration environment. Transverse knowledge and understanding in accounting and economic matters
  • Good presentation skills as well as negotiations skills and assertiveness
  • Sound analytical and conceptual skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Well-developed networking skills given the complex and broad interaction within and outside the Bayer group
