Senior consultant in a Financial Risk Management team

What we do:

Financial Sector Advisory Group is providing consulting and advisory services in the different areas of financial sector: analysis and improvement of business processes with the focus on credit processes, managerial reporting, various areas of risk management (risk modeling, development of risk management strategies, processes, governance structures and reporting) and corporate governance.

Key responsibilities:

• Associate position in FS Advisory team, part of KPMG's Advisory practice
• Advanced Member of FS project teams at the client
• Responsible for delivering small projects (1-2 people) or project modules within larger projects for our clients, overseen by manager (in some cases also partner or director)
• Contributing to operative project work, e.g.:
• analysis and visualization of the business processes and providing recommendations for improvement
• running analysis on data
• collecting business and functional requirements for clients' reporting or business process automation
• writing reports and presentation slides with project advice, conclusions, summary etc.
• interviewing clients' project team
• Managing relationship and interaction with counterparties at the client site
• Contributing to the business development activities, such as proposals preparation and development of service propositions
• Leading, advising and training junior staff on and off projects

Requirements:

• Master/bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Economic cybernetics, System analysis
• More than 3 years of experience in Banks (in SME or Retail business, Risk-management, ALM or Finance) or in consulting or software development teams in projects for financial services organizations
• Deep understanding of the main areas of banking business processes, preferably credit business, risk management and asset liability management;
• Experience of collecting information for and preparation of business requirements documents, functional requirements documents for automation of reporting tasks or business process management tasks will be an advantage
• Strong analytical skills and ability to structure problems
• Upper Intermediate English, Fluent in Ukrainian/Russian (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently
• Strong communication and social skills
• High motivation and team player.

Tasks within FRM (examples):

• Assessment of the business processes and providing recommendations for improvement
• Conducting interviews with a client's staff, collecting information and examining client's information systems for preparation of business requirements documents, functional requirements documents for automation of reporting tasks or business process management tasks
• Slide writing on financial services topics, including experimenting with a slide composition for its improvement, to convey a proposal's storyline and KPMG approaches to recipients
