Senior BI Cognos Developer

The Senior BI Cognos Developer has the role to design and develop multi-dimensional reports, using Cognos Business Intelligence solutions, management of analysis, development and reporting projects required by management.

Main Responsibilities:

- Development in all stages of BI processes,

- Testing all the technical solutions implemented to successfully deliver the BI initiatives,

- Active participation in the elaboration and updating of technical documentation and operational procedures,

- Provide the optimal development, 

- Coordinate and support the daily activity of the team,

- Manages incidents, requests and complex issues,

- Independently applies knowledge of area of expertise in accordance with business requirements,

- Supports the development of processes, work procedures and solutions for  BI  business optimization,

- Proposes ideas and solutions for operational efficiencies, strategically aligned with business objectives,

- Participates in quality management by actively contributing to the improvement of internal procedures,

- Manage the delay of development and help technically the junior developers,

Profile Requirements:

-Working knowledge and experience  of other BI technologies preferably  (TALEND, PowerBI, Informatica)

- Working experience with Data modeling and ETL

- Working knowledge in Data architecture conception and designing 

- Education level: higher education,

- Foreign languages: English – minimum B1, French – is an advantage,

- IBM Cognos Analytics 10/11 (Cognos connection, Framework Manager, Transformer, Reports)

- SQL knowledge, 

- Strong experience in creating OLAP Cubes using Cognos Transformer,

- Knowledge in ETL design,

- Experience with SSIS, Sunopsis / ODI, Talend, etc.,

- Team player, self-motivated, loyal & collaborative,

- Excellent analytical, conceptual, troubleshooting & problem-solving skills,

- Excellent communications skills, able to work effectively with business users to understand and clarify requirements as well as educate and resolve end user issues,

- Time management / Ability to priorities activities,
