About the Company: Arka Express Inc. is a privately held truckload carrier that specializes in full-truckload transportation services. As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in our company's growth and success. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts and ensuring growth in load count, revenue, and margins. This includes managing customer expectations and KPIs, contract negotiations, RFPs, and conducting regular business reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of accounts and ensure growth in load count, revenue, and margins
- Manage customer expectations and KPIs, including but not limited to, on-time delivery, service level agreements, and customer satisfaction
- Conduct contract negotiations and RFPs, ensuring the best possible outcome for the company while maintaining strong customer relationships
- Conduct regular business reviews and provide updates to management, including but not limited to, revenue, margin, and market trends.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and escalations, providing timely and effective solutions to any issues that may arise
- Act as a conduit between operations, pricing, and the customer, working closely with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and exceeded
- Investigate opportunities by our process and develop strategies for increasing business with existing customers, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Internal sell as much as external sell, working closely with the sales team to identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in account management, transportation and logistics industry
- Strong knowledge of the full truckload industry
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics or related field
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and freight billing software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of market trends and industry regulations
