Senior Java Developer

Your Qualifications/Skills:

• 3-5 years of Java experience building large scale distributed applications;

• Hands-on experience with database, solid understanding of execution plans and query optimizations;

• Ability to write well organized, testable and maintainable code;

• Team player with excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical  concepts to diverse group of staff and customers;

• Proficient in Linux and Shell scripting;

• Creative problem solver with a curious mind and can-do attitude;

• The architectural design of Microservice applications, plan and execute refactoring monolith application into event-driven Microservice system, Spring Boot;

• Ability to establish best practices of development (CI, code review, Unit testing);

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent discipline;

• ABILITY TO WORK IN PST TIME ZONE (12 PM - 9 PM by Kyiv).

Nice to have:

• Experience with AWS technologies (auto-scaling, EKS, RDS, SQS, etc.);

• Experience with building data pipelines and solution that process and analyze large volumes of data;

• Experience in data aggregation, normalization, and ETL technologies;

• Experience with Optical Character Recognition and Natural Language Processing;

• Experience with healthcare data formats like CCD, HL7, FHIR, 837, RAPS, etc.

You will be responsible for:

• Building, shiping, and maintaining mission critical and scalable software with a heavy emphasis  on ownership;

• Analyzing system architecture and continually improving it;

• Supporting and improving other engineers’ skills code reviews;

• Involving in collaboration with a support team in triaging and resolving production issues;

• Additionally, you will be involved in improving standards, processes, and tools for the engineering organization.

OpsWorks Co. is looking for a Senior Java Engineer (PST Business Hours) to build innovative applications to improve patient care. As a senior member of a team, you will be a key technical specialist  within  the organization and help shape our system architecture and enhance our applications.

This is a full-time, long-term position.
